What will I learn?
The Master of Taxation (MTax) is a specialist qualification in Australian tax law, drawing upon the Sydney Law School is Taxation program, one of the world is most respected and established. The curriculum has been designed to meet professional requirements at a national and international level and is relevant to those in the Australian tax profession, whether as lawyers, accountants, public administrators or academics, who wish to build on their experience and attain a high level of specialist tax expertise. Sydney Law School is an international leader in tax education.
Under normal progression, a student shall undertake and successfully complete all units of study to the value of 24 credit points per semester as prescribed for the course. Students are required to attend all lectures, tutorials and other activities prescribed for their units of study.

Admission to candidature for the Master of Taxation requires:
(a) a bachelor is degree with a minimum credit average from the University of Sydney in commerce, economics, government, law or public administration, or an equivalent qualification; or
(b) a bachelor is degree from the University of Sydney, or an equivalent qualification; and the applicant provides evidence of professional experience or of a period of service (normally of several years in duration) which in the opinion of the Dean adequately prepares the applicant to undertake the course of study; or
(c) completion of the requirements of the Graduate Diploma in Taxation with a minimum credit average, or an equivalent qualification.
English language requirements: TOEFL paper-based: A minimum result of 592 overall including a minimum result of 4.5 in Writing TOEFL IBT: including a minimum result of 17 in Reading, Listening and Speaking and 19 in Writing
