What will I learn?
The Graduate Diploma in Psychology provides a fourth year of study in Psychology for graduates who already have completed an accredited three-year undergraduate degree in Psychology. The Diploma assists students who wish to meet the minimum educational qualification requirements for registration to work as a psychologist. On completion of this course, students are eligible to apply for Masters Programs in Psychology. Students in the Diploma must complete coursework at an advanced level as well as a group-based research project written up as an individual thesis.
The course is fully accredited by the Australian Psychology Accreditation Council (APAC), and is recognised as such by the Australian Psychological Society (APS) and the Western Australian Psychologists i Registration Board.
Students who complete this Diploma will have satisfied the minimum educational requirements for registration to work as a psychologist in Western Australia (provided that their undergraduate degree is from an accredited psychology program), and will also be eligible to apply for entry into relevant Master courses in applied psychology. Graduates will be able to work in many areas of psychology and the helping professions.

Applicants must have completed a Bachelor degree (AQF level 7) or equivalent. English Language Requirements: Academic International English Language Testing System (IELTS): overall 6.0 with no band below 6.0; Test of English as a Foreign Language - IBT (TOEFL IBT): 73 with no band less than 18; Test of English as a Foreign Language - Paper Based (TOEFL - Paper Based): 534 (Test of Written English not less than 4.5); Cambridge Advanced English prior 52 with no section less than Borderline; Cambridge Advanced English after 69 overall with no band below 169 ; Occupational English Test (OET): OET with a minimum of C in the four components.
Students must have a three-year Bachelor's degree in Psychology accredited by the Australian Psychology Accreditation Council or Australian Psychological Society-approved alternative, completed within the last 10 years. Some students may be required to complete additional units to satisfy specified unit prerequisites. Students from other countries should have country specific requirements equivalent to Australia.
English Language requirements: IELTS overall score of 7.0 with no band less than 7.0; CAE - 185 overall with no band below 185; PTE - 68 with no band below 68; TOEFL IBT - 94 with no band less than 24; TOEFL - Paper Based - 592 (Test of Written English not less than 5.0); OET with a minimum of one A and three B's in the four components.
