What will I learn?
The Diploma of Science leads to Deakin University's Bachelor degrees in biological science, biomedical science, environmental science, forensic science or zoology and animal science. Graduates may work in a wide range of cutting-edge and rapidly growing fields, and could be involved in the scientific developments that hold the key to the future.
Course structure
Eight units must be completed and passed to be awarded the Diploma.
Teaching Methods
Instruction for all units is classroom based. Generally, four hours of class contact per week are allocated to each unit. Some units have additional laboratory hours/practical classes.
Assessment
Assessment for all units is ongoing and continuous consisting of tests, assignments and case study analysis. Most units have a final two-hour examination.

All applicants must provide documentation of their completed undergraduate degree (a bachelor's degree or its equivalent) from a regionally accredited institution prior to matriculation. (Applicants who have not completed their bachelor's degree by the time they submit their application for admission may be admitted to CMU Australia with the condition they submit their final transcript, including their date of graduation, prior to the start of their first semester at CMU Australia.)
Entry to Diploma courses requires the successful completion of Year 12 or equivalent.
