Courses Overview

What will I learn?
This course is designed to develop the key attributes and skills required by senior and middle managers in a range of areas including commerce, industry and public sector. Participants choose to study a particular set of units, combined with a period of approved professional practice experience/or research, providing the graduate the opportunity to apply their theoretical understanding to the reality of the workplace.
Professional Practice placements are limited and may not be available in every state and territory. Students are responsible for making their own travel and accommodation arrangements and meeting all associated costs.
Students wishing to undertake Professional Practice units should first undertake a preliminary interview with the Head of School.
Course Structure
The course consists of a total of 160 credit points, comprising of 100 credit points of core units plus 60 credit points from elective units. A candidate must successfully complete units totalling 160 credit points. All units are valued at 10 credit points unless indicated.

Entry Requirement From Vietnam

The minimum academic requirements for admission to a postgraduate or graduate entry degree is the completion of a bachelor's degree which is deemed equivalent to an Australian bachelor's degree by the University's qualification assessment references. Applicants may also be required to satisfy specific course requirements such as a minimum overall grade score, prerequisite knowledge or work experience. Applicants must have successfully completed the equivalent of an Australian honours degree or master's degree. Other English language requirements accepted: Cambridge Advanced English (CAE) - A minimum overall score of 176 with no skill below 169 or Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic module - A minimum overall score of 58 with no score lower than 50.


Entry Requirement For International Student

Successful completion of a recognised Bachelor degree, Graduate Certificate or Graduate Diploma in a business or related field plus a minimum of 6 months employment experience; or successful completion of a recognised non business award (Bachelor degree, Graduate Certificate or Graduate Diploma) aimed at providing the student with professional skills that include a systematic exposure to disciplines such as industrial relations, human resource management, project management, financial management, marketing, economics, ecommerce or strategic management plus a minimum of 6 months employment experience; or successful completion of a recognised Bachelor degree, Graduate Certificate or Graduate Diploma in an unrelated field plus a minimum of two years full-time employment experience in a managerial role. Applicants may be asked to provide further documentation detailing their employment experience and outlining managerial roles and achievements.
Applicants with no undergraduate or post graduate qualifications should apply for entry into the Graduate Certificate in International Business (1GC513) or the Graduate Certificate in Human Resource Management (1GC515) or the Graduate Certificate in Strategic Management (1GC514).

Other English Language Requirements:
Australian Technology and Management College (ATMC) - Successful completion of English for Academic Purposes (EAP). Students will be required to sit an exit test on completion and achieve a score equivalent to IELTS overall 6.5; CAE minimum overall score of 176 with no skill below 169; Common European Framework Certificate of English Proficiency minimum overall grade of C1 valid for three years from the date of the test to the date of commencement at CDU; Navitas Academic English - a minimum overall pass of 65% in Academic English 3 with a 65% pass in the research essay; PTE academic module minimum overall score of 58 with no score lower than 50.
