Courses Overview

What will I learn?
Open a window to the past
Archaeologists give us the chance to see how people lived in the past, and how they interacted with one another and the environment. Studies of the material traces of the past also help people to make important decisions about property, resources, and cultural heritage in the present day.
Within the Bachelor of Arts (Archaeology) you will learn from some of Australia's most respected archaeologists, with opportunities to get hands-on through practical archaeological training, including field methods and laboratory analysis.
Thinking of studying externally? You will experience all elements of the course - practical and theoretical - by watching filmed classes and being able to handle 3D printed bones and other specimens.
Career outcomes
This degree will equip you with the skills to work in areas such as cultural heritage, native title/cultural heritage consultancy, as well as in a wide range of public service and welfare occupations including social planning, community development, and social policy.
