What will I learn?
Environmental Health is the study of how the environment impacts on our health - the physical, biological, chemical and sociological factors external to us that determine our health and well-being.
Environmental health is the branch of public health that is concerned with all aspects of the natural and built environment that affect our health, such as water, food, air, buildings and waste.
The postgraduate courses in Environmental Health aim to provide you with the professional qualifications to enter or enhance career opportunities in the area of environmental health.
This pathway program provides you with advanced knowledge in the theory and application of environmental health and environmental health risk assessment.
Learning outcomes
Graduates of this course are expected to be able to:
apply higher order problem solving and research skills in the investigation of complex problems and research questions
demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of environmental health issues
critically analyse and interpret the literature and laboratory and epidemiological data
demonstrate an enhanced ability to communicate effectively to community, government and academic audiences both orally and in writing

Entry Requirement From Vietnam

Applicants must have equivalent of a three-year Australian bachelors degree. Some degrees may require work experience to meet the entry requirements. A reference or statement from the employer will be required. Special requirements apply to the four-year Doctor of Medicine. English language requirements: IELTS (Academic): 7.0 Overall with 7.0 Speaking, 7.0 Writing; 7.0 Reading, 7.0 Listening; TOEFL Paper 600 Overall 5.0 TWE; TOEFL (Internet): 96 Overall with 24 Speaking, 24 Writing, 24 Reading; 24 Listening; Pearson PTE Academic: 65 Overall with 65 Speaking, 65 Writing, 65 Reading; 65 Listening; Cambridge English Advanced (CAE) with a grade of C.


Entry Requirement For International Student

Applicants who do not hold the graduate diploma in environmental health practice must normally hold an approved undergraduate degree or equivalent in an area of the sciences and have successfully completed a minimum of one semester full-time (18 units or equivalent) in basic sciences such as chemistry, physics, microbiology, physiology, biology and life sciences.
English Language Requirements
They must also satisfy the following English language requirements: IELTS (Academic): 6.0 Overall with 6.0 Speaking, 6.0 Writing; TOEFL Paper 550 Overall 4.5 TWE; TOEFL (Internet): 72 Overall with 18 Speaking, 18 Writing; Pearson PTE Academic: 50 Overall with 50 Speaking, 50 Writing; Cambridge English Advanced (CAE) with a grade of B2.
