Courses Overview

What will I learn?
Make a difference in people is lives with an exciting career in the fitness industry. Learn the science of exercise, proper use and maintenance of exercise equipment, and how to develop and roll out fitness programs for the general population as well as people with special health requirements. You ill study anatomy, physiology, exercise science, nutrition, and how to perform health and fitness screening and fitness appraisals. You ill also gain generic work skills such as communication, client service, risk analysis, and sports first aid. This qualification will equip you with the necessary skills to work as a fitness instructor in a community or fitness facility.

Students require a relevant bachelor's degree. Successful completion of at least one full-time year at bachelor's degree level at a recognised university or tertiary institution. English language requirements: IELTS (Academic) - 6.5 overall, writing 6.0; TOEFL (Internet-based) - 79-93 overall, writing 21; PTE (Academic) - 58-64; CAE - 176-184; AE5/AE6 (PASS) - AE5.

Entry Requirement For International Student

Academic Requirements
Completion of Year 10 (or equivalent). Non school-leavers must have relevant work experience or qualification that indicates likely success of course completion.
Students should be a minimum of 18 years of age.
English Language Requirements:
They must satisfy the following requirements such as 5.5 on IELTS with no individual score less than 5.0; Successful completion of 12 weeks TAFE Queensland English Language Program (TQELP) with results certified to course entry level; TOEFL: 69 (internet based test), 530 (paper based test), 197 (computer based test); ISLPR: 2+ on 4 skills - reading, writing, listening and speaking; First Cambridge Certificate of English, C Grade Cambridge Certificate of Advanced English; Successful completion of a vocational course of Australian Qualifications Framework Level 3 or higher, in which the medium of instruction is English; Sound achievement, or equivalent, Year 12 Board English in an Australian School; Successful completion on TQELP English for Academic Purposes (EAP).
