USQ is Bachelor of Paramedicine will provide you with specific skills that are unique to being a paramedic, and you will be trained in the areas of assessment, analysis, decision making and working in difficult situations.
From first year and throughout your degree, you will complete clinical placements with Queensland Ambulance Service and in other healthcare settings - to gain hands-on experience i.
As a paramedic student you will have the chance to improve your skills in our simulated ambulance and emergency training labs.
Our Bachelor of Paramedicine has been designed by the leading medical and paramedic staff who understand the real-world of pre-hospital emergency care.
A paramedicine degree enables graduates to be employed in multiple areas such as: with the ambulance, intensive care paramedic, emergency and disaster management, flight rescue services or community education. Graduates of the Bachelor of Paramedicine will be able to apply for entry-level Ambulance Paramedic positions with Australasian ambulance services.
USQ has obtained Preliminary Accreditation from the Council of Ambulance Authorities (CAA). Advancement to Provisional Accreditation from the Council of Ambulance Authorities.

Students must have a recognized previous academic qualification. These qualifications are for standard entry and are based on comparisons with Australian year 12 level examinations. English language requirements: IELTS (Academic only) - 6.0 (or better) (no component lower than 5.5); TOEFL (paper based) - 550 (or better) (with a minimum Test of Written English Score of TWE 4.5); TOEFL (electronic or computer based) - 213 (or better) (with essay rating of at least 4.5); TOEFL (internet based) - 80 (or better) (with 19 minimum in all bands); Pearson (PTE Academic) - 50 (or better) (with no communicative score less than 50); Cambridge English Scale Scores for FCE, CAE and CPE3 - Cambridge English: First (FCE) with a score of 169 or above. No less than 162 in each skill.
