Courses Overview

What will I learn?
Students develop an understanding of the underlying principles and applications of software engineering in the acquisition of professional knowledge and skills which will enable them to adapt to this interesting and dynamic field as professionals. This comprehensive course prepares students for the work environment and is developed in consultation with the industry.
Study opportunities are also provided to assist students to undertake sought-after industry training modules, including Cisco and Microsoft. Career opportunities existing for graduates are software engineer and software developer.
Course Structure
The core of this program prepares students with the necessary software engineering skills so that they are well prepared for work when graduated.
The program stresses both the importance of theory and the application of theory into practice through projects and practical exercises.
A candidate must successfully complete units totalling 320 credit points. All units are valued at 10 credit points unless indicated.
Professional Recognition
Graduates are eligible for membership at professional level of the Australian Computer Society.

Entry Requirement From Vietnam

Applicants must have minimum average of 80% in 4 core academic subjects. Other English Language Requirements accepted: Cambridge Advanced English (CAE)A minimum overall score of 169 with no skill below 169; Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic module score of 50 with no score lower than 42.


Entry Requirement For International Student

The minimum academic entry requirements for admissions is the completion of a qualification deemed equivalent to Australian Year 12 by the University's qualification assessment references. Applicants may also be required to satisfy specific course requirements such as a minimum overall grade score or prerequisite knowledge.
Other English Language Requirements:
Australian Technology and Management College (ATMC) - Successful completion of English for Academic Purposes (EAP). Students will be required to sit an exit test on completion and achieve a score equivalent to IELTS overall 6.0; Cambridge Advanced English (CAE) minimum overall score of 169 with no skill below 169; Common European Framework Certificate of English Proficiency minimum overall grade of B2; Navitas Academic English - A minimum overall pass of 55% in Academic English 3; Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic module minimum overall score of 50 with no score lower than 50.
