What will I learn?
The Bachelor of Medical Science (Specialization) is a practical course designed to ensure you graduate with knowledge in sciences, study and research skills and professional health experience.

While studying this course you will have the flexibility to specialize and pursue career opportunities in Biotechnology, Clinical Measurement or Nutrition.
This unique program has been developed alongside industry professionals and gives you the opportunity to complete placements in real-world settings, allowing you to further enhance your employability and put your learning into practice.

The biotechnology specialization will explore the ways in which living things and their molecular constituents are used as tools.

With an emphasis on medical applications you will be ideally placed to pursue a career in the BioPharma industry and medical diagnostics.

Clinical Measurement

Clinical Measurement involves diagnosing disease and fine tuning therapeutic management of already established disease by performing physiological tests such as electrocardiography (ECG) and 24 hour halter monitoring.

Upon completion of the Clinical Measurement specialization you will be ready to pursue a role as a Medical Scientist in clinical measurement laboratories. Medical Scientists form a vital link in the chain of medical services and assess the physiological functioning of the cardiovascular, nervous and respiratory systems.


Nutrition is an important and diverse field in today's society. Choosing to study the Nutrition specialization will enable you to work with individuals or communities to promote healthy lifestyle choices and prevent diet-related disease.

Completing the Nutrition specialization will prepare you for a career in nutrition education, advocacy, food advertising and communication, research, nutrition science, nutrition behavior, sport and exercise and biomedical nutrition.
Program Structure
You are required to complete 24 units, comprising of eight core units and 16 specialization units.

Entry Requirement From Vietnam

Other English Language Requirements accepted: Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE Academic) Overall score of 54 with no score less than 46; Cambridge Certificate in Advanced English Overall test score of 169 (with no individual band score of less than 154).

Entry Requirement For International Student

Students must have successful completion of the equivalent of an Australian Year 12.
Other English language requirements: IELTS Academic - 6.0 with no individual band score of less than 5.5; TOEFL Internet-based - Overall score of 75 with no score less than 17; Pearson Test of English Academic - Overall score of 50 with no score less than 42.
