What will I learn?
In this course you will be introduced to the principles of logistics management, considering logistics as the management of the flow of goods and services in profit and non-profit organisations. You will explore some typical logistics activities including transportation, material and inventory management, distribution, customer service, information systems and order processing.
You will also study transportation as part of the logistics process, exploring transport economic theory. Topics in materials and inventory management and the enhancement of logistics management with information technology are also examined.
Professional recognition
Graduates are eligible to apply for graduate membership of The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) Australia and the Logistics Association of Australia.

Applicants must have a recognized bachelor degree in engineering or applied science with honours or equivalent. If you graduated with a bachelor degree in engineering or applied science without honours, but with relevant experience, you may be accepted at the discretion of the course coordinator. English language requirements: Certificate in Advanced English (CAE): 176; and Pearson Test of English Academic: 60. IELTS Academic (International English Language Testing System): Writing, Speaking, Reading, and Listening: 6.0; Overall band score: 6.5; TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language): 79 Overall; Reading 13 Listening 13 Speaking 18 Writing 21.
A bachelor degree in a discipline other than logistics or at least five years i relevant industry experience.
