What will I learn?
This course is designed to equip you with knowledge and skills in all areas of special education, ranging from students at risk, to family and school relationships, communication systems and emerging technologies to intervention programs. It promotes both the inclusion and traditional concepts for educating students with special needs.
Graduate positions may include work as a teacher in a special education setting, in health institutions, and/or with children with special needs.

Applicants must hold a Australian Master's degree or Bachelor's degree with Honours at H1 or H2A level, or approved international equivalent. You must also provide evidence of substantial private research expertise. English Language Requirements: IELTS (Academic): Overall score of 6.5 with no band less than 6.0; TOEFL Paper-based Test - Overall score of 575 with 5 or better in TWE (Test of Written English); TOEFL Internet based (iBT): Overall 79 with 13 in Reading, 12 in Listening, 18 in Speaking and 21 in Writing, Pearson Test of English (Academic) (PTE): Overall score of 58 with no communicative skill score less than 50, Cambridge Certificate of Advanced English (CAE): 176 with no less than 169 in any component, Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE): 176 with no less than 169 in any component.
Students must have an approved Australian four-year Bachelor of Education, an Honours degree, an approved four year teaching qualification or a specialized Graduate Diploma, or approved international equivalent.
English language requirements: IELTS (Academic) score of 7.5 with no individual band score less than 7 and a score of no less than 8 in speaking and listening; TOEFL Paper based: Overall score of 625 with 6 or better in TWE (Test of Written English); TOEFL Internet based (IBT): Overall 102 with 24 in Reading, 24 in Listening, 23 in Speaking and 27 in Writing; Pearson Test of English (Academic) (PTE): Overall score of 73 with no communicative skill score less than 65; Cambridge Certificate of Advanced English (CAE): 191 with no less than 185 in any component; Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE): 191 with no less than 185 in any component.
