Courses Overview

What will I learn?

This Accounting course provides students with a sound knowledge base in financial accounting, management accounting, taxation, business law and finance.
This vocationally oriented and student -cent red course provides students with employment and professional skills needed in a rapidly changing business environment. It allows for flexibility of study and prepares students for careers in a variety of business fields. In addition, communication, presentation and problem solving skills are emphasised.
Students have a wide choice of business units from which they can choose electives that will complement their personal interests and career options. Alternatively students may select electives from other disciplines including language studies, anthropology, history, social science, indigenous studies, applied science and engineering.
Professional Recognition
Completion of the degree allows graduates to apply for membership of CPA Australia and The Chartered Accountants of Australia and New Zealand (CAANZ).
Course Structure
The course requires completion of common, core and general elective units. Successful completion of the degree will satisfy the entry requirements of the professional accounting bodies in Australia. Elective units allow the student to tailor the degree to their particular career aspirations. A candidate must successfully complete units totalling 240 credit points (cp). All units are valued at 10 credit points unless indicated.

Accounting can lead to an interesting and lucrative career in a number of varied fields. Graduates can work in the private sector in small, medium or large firms, in large Big Four i accounting firms, small local accounting firms or large international firms in whatever field appeals to you. Our graduates can be found working in large multinational companies as financial accountants, management accountants, auditors and managers; others run their own businesses or work in other areas of business management.

Entry Requirement From Vietnam

Other English Language Requirements accepted: Cambridge Advanced English (CAE): A minimum overall score of 169 with no skill below 169; Pearson Test of English (PTE): A minimum overall score of 50 with no score lower than 50.


Entry Requirement For International Student

The minimum academic entry requirements for admissions is the completion of a qualification deemed equivalent to Australian Year 12 by the University's qualification assessment references. Applicants may also be required to satisfy specific course requirements such as a minimum overall grade score or prerequisite knowledge.
Other English Language Requirements:
Australian Technology and Management College (ATMC) - Successful completion of English for Academic Purposes (EAP). Students will be required to sit an exit test on completion and achieve a score equivalent to IELTS overall 6.0; Cambridge Advanced English (CAE) minimum overall score of 169 with no skill below 169; Common European Framework Certificate of English Proficiency minimum overall grade of B2; Navitas Academic English - A minimum overall pass of 55% in Academic English 3; Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic module minimum overall score of 50 with no score lower than 50.
