Courses Overview

What will I learn?
Digital media is content that is stored in digital formats and usually distributed online. The shift from traditional media has taken place in many industries, including industries that aren it typically associated with digital media-such as health, government and education.
Digital Media industries are unique in that they are the intersection of art, design, business and engineering.
The digital media industry is growing throughout the world, with Vancouver, BC leading the way. Vancouver has one of the top video game clusters in the world and has the world's largest VFX and animation hub.
The Master of Digital Media program engages students through coursework and projects to develop essential communication, collaboration & leadership skills. The unique curriculum meets the needs of new and expanding digital media markets.
The Master of Digital Media program develops six core competencies. Together they comprise a skill set and an approach to building, managing, and leading digital media projects.

Entry Requirement From Vietnam

Applicants must have completed a 4-year undergraduate degree (or equivalent) acceptable to all 4 CDM Partner Institutions in a field related to digital media, for example: Computer science, engineering, education, management, economics, communication, art, design or performing arts, art history, architecture, linguistics, psychology or philosophy. Note: If applying from another related discipline, applicants must make the case for the relationship between the discipline in which they hold their previous degree and this program and how they would benefit from the MDM program. Minimum Undergraduate Grades: Minimum overall average in the B+ range (76% or higher) in 3rd and 4th year courses, or: Academic standing with at least 12 credits of 3rd and 4th year courses in the A range (80% or higher) in the field of study, or: Applicants who hold a 4-year undergraduate degree, who do not meet the requirements stated above, but who have had significant formal training and relevant professional experience may be granted admission on the recommendation of the MDM program. Other English Language Requirements: Minimum of 62 in the Pearson Test of English with a minimum of 55 in each category.
