What will I learn?
The Master of Human Resource Management course advances the skills and knowledge in human resource management of officers working in the Sarawak Civil Service (SCS) departments and government agencies. The MHRM course is developed specifically to enhance transformation and Innovation initiatives of SCS10-20 Action Plan.
Course description and Units of study
The MHRM course is divided into three parts.
Part 1: HR Talent Management provides officers with competency-based approaches in managing talent in the general areas of recruitment & selection; training and education; learning and management development; performance & reward management; continuity planning, and employee engagement.

Part 2 (Transformational Human Resource Management) building on the functional activities of HRM, this develops officers professionally to acquire key concepts in managing change; the formulation of organisation and transformation strategies and the contribution of competency-based HRM to these strategies. In addition, ideas on leadership, culture, ethics, consulting, and models of organisational change and development will be investigated in the process of strategy and implementation.

Part 3 (Evidence-based Strategic Human Resource Management) provides opportunities for officers to appraise a variety of research frameworks and to apply knowledge of research methods to management practices. Officers will evaluate methods of research related to the workplace and communicate appropriate solutions to management and human resources challenges. Importantly, officers will also learn to influence others to adopt ethical, responsible and sustainable human resource management practices.

Entry Requirement From Vietnam

Applicants must have a Bachelor is degree (three or four years) and a Masters by Research; or a Bachelor is degree (three or four years) and an Honours year; or a Bachelor is degree (three or four years) and a Masters by Coursework; or a Bachelor is degree (four years) in an approved discipline. Other English Language Requirements accepted: TOEFL (Paper based) score of 550 with minimum Test of Written English (TWE) score of 5.0.

Entry Requirement For International Student

Applicants should have completed an appropriate undergraduate qualification at a credit level (CGPA 2.5, GMAT 550 or equivalent) from a recognized academic institution.
