The Graduate Certificate in Business Studies is designed to ensure you are equipped with the skills and knowledge to succeed in postgraduate business programs. You will cultivate your skills in critical thinking and analysis, reflective practice and professional presentation, as well as developing an understanding and knowledge base of contemporary business theory and practices around marketing, accounting and organisational management.
This Graduate Certificate is ideal for those students who intend to undertake postgraduate coursework programs with the Tasmanian School of Business and Economics, but have never studied at university before. It is a qualifying pathway degree for admission to the following degrees:

The Graduate Certificate in Business Studies is a 4-unit course, offered full time and part time. This course is full fee-paying, which means that you will be charged at the full fee-paying rate listed for each unit.
In this course you will:
1. Develop high level written and oral communication skills to explain and critique theoretical propositions, methodologies and conclusions and apply these to complex management problems across audiences characterised by culturally and linguistically diverse people with varying levels of expertise.
2. Critically evaluate in-depth knowledge of foundational and contemporary management theory, principles and processes and reflect on their efficacy in current practice.

Entry Requirement From Vietnam

Admission to most masters by coursework courses at the University of Tasmania require qualifications equivalent to an Australian bachelor degree. English language requirements: IELTS of 6.5 with no band less than 6.0, TOEFL (IBT) 72 (no skill below: Reading 16; Listening 16; Speaking 18; Writing 22); PTE Academic 50 with no score lower than 50; UTAS Access-English Level 7 - 60% (no individual score less than 60%); Cambridge CAE (Certificate of Advanced English) - B Grade; Cambridge CPE (Certificate of Proficiency in English) - C Grade; Cambridge BEC (Business English Certificate) Higher - C Grade.


Entry Requirement For International Student

For admission to this course you need either a completed Australian Advanced Diploma or above, or approved equivalent#; OR at least three years' management experience. You must provide evidence to support your eligibility for the degree, in particular a copy of your CV showing your work experience, and letters of reference from line managers or similar to confirm the work experience meets the minimum level for entry. They must also satisfy the following English language requirements: TOEFL (PBT) 550 TWE 4.5; PTE Academic 50 with no score lower than 42; UTAS Access - English Level 6 - 60 per cent (no individual score less than 55 per cent); Cambridge CAE (Certificate of Advanced English) - B Grade; Cambridge CPE (Certificate of Proficiency in English) - C Grade; Cambridge BEC (Business English Certificate) Higher - C Grade.
