Courses Overview

What will I learn?
The course offers thirteen majors across a broad range of disciplines, all created in consultation with industry, with many being accredited and recognised professionally with the relevant industry bodies. Students can choose up to two majors, a major and a minor, or, a major and a range of electives providing great flexibility in the course and giving students the opportunity to tailor their degree to suit their career aspirations.
Students are equipped with the theory, practical experience and employability skills, including the leadership, teamwork, critical thinking, and communication and problem solving skills. Graduate world-ready to succeed in a variety of complex, competitive and dynamic global business environments.
Employment opportunities
The Bachelor of Commerce prepares students for a diverse range of business related careers. Students graduate with an evidence based career e-portfolio along with a situated learning experience, and learn how to apply the theoretical concepts studied in a practical and real world setting. Over the course of the degree students have the opportunity to undertake international study tours, work integrated learning opportunities and internships in their chosen field.

Accounting and Finance Double Major
Provides students with a strong foundation in accounting theory and principles, along with practical skills in accounting and related areas. It also equips students with the necessary knowledge and skills to pursue a fast-paced career in stockbroking, investment banking, financial advice, and in the finance division of any corporation. Students graduate industry-ready and with the skills to work in a diverse range of sectors. Whether students want to work for a large corporation, a new start-up, not-for-profit, or in government, finance and accounting provides these opportunities both locally and internationally.

Entry Requirement From Vietnam

Applicants must have obtained minimum of 24 points (minimum of 28 points for Law) consisting of aggregate from 3 higher level and 3 subsidiary level. English Language Requirements accepted: Academic IELTS: An overall band score of 6.0, with no individual band less than 6.0; TOEFL: Minimum score of 550, including Test of Written English of 5 or better; TOEFL iBT: Minimum score of 70, with no individual score less than 17; GCE O Levels: Grade C or better; PTE Academic: PTE Academic 52, with no scores less than 50 for courses with a current requirement; University of Cambridge [Cambridge English: Advanced]: Pre-2015: A score between 52 - 57 with no less than 'Borderline' in any element of the test. Post-2015: An overall score of 169, with no individual band less than 169; or a minimum TOEFL score of 550 including TWE of 5.


Entry Requirement For International Student

There are various ways to meet our admission requirements, such as Secondary school results, Successful completion of one year of tertiary study from a recognised institution, Completed Diploma program from a recognised institution.
English Minimum Requirements
Academic IELTS: 6.0 (no individual band less than 6.0)
TOEFL iBT: 70 (no individual score less than 17)
GCE O Level: Grade C or better from specific countries as detailed in ECU is English Policy
GCE A Level: Grade E or better from specific countries as detailed in ECU is English Policy
Pearson Test of English (PTE): 57 with no score less than 50 for IELTS 6.0 courses. 64, with no score less than 58 for IELTS 6.5 courses.
OET: A minimum score of B in each of the four components (listening, reading, speaking and writing).
