The Bachelor of Theatre at CQUniversity has a carefully designed and performance-integrated structure that will enrich your learning experience. Choose to major in Drama, Music Theatre, Theatre Studies or Technical Theatre to suit your area of interest and career goals.
Within a creative and supportive environment of performance-based training, you will have the opportunity to work in a number of full-scale productions in technical and creative roles.
On completion, you will be a highly skilled and motivated creative performer that is ready for the workplace.
You will develop a wide range of skills, all of which will be contextualized by studies in dramatic literature, theatre history and drama theory.
During your education and training you will develop advanced skills in problem solving and creative, self-regulated and critical thinking, as well as enhance your singing and voice, acting, dance and movement skills. In addition, you will explore imagination and performance techniques and styles and cover production-related areas, such as lighting, sound and stage management.
Benefit from the newly added major, Theatre Studies, which is available by distance education, allowing you to balance work and study commitments.

You are required to complete 24 units. These include seven core units, a chosen specialization and electives.

Other English Language Requirements accepted: Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE Academic) Overall score of 54 with no score less than 46; Cambridge Certificate in Advanced English Overall test score of 169 (with no individual band score of less than 154).
Students must have successful completion of the equivalent of an Australian Year 12.
Other English language requirements: IELTS Academic - 6.0 with no individual band score of less than 5.5; TOEFL Internet-based - Overall score of 75 with no score less than 17; Pearson Test of English Academic - Overall score of 50 with no score less than 42.
