The Bachelor of Engineering Technology is designed to develop your skills and enable you to combine an understanding of engineering concepts with modern technology.
Your education and training will equip you with the skills to innovatively apply, modify and adapt engineering practices to meet engineering challenges and problems for communities, society and the environment.
Tailor your program by choosing from a wide range of majors to suit your personal interests and career goals. The program utilises exciting technologies and has a project-based focus so you benefit from a more hands-on learning experience and have the ability to study on-campus in a non-traditional format or by distance education.
You will have the opportunity to engage with practicing engineers, work on industry-sponsored projects and have access to industry-based scholarships offered by some of Australia's leading companies. Six weeks of industry placement during the program also allows you to apply your skills and increase your employability by gaining on-the-job experience.
Civil Engineering - Structural or municipal transportation, Electrical Engineering - Electrical control or electrical power, Mechanical Engineering - Design, energy or process.
You are required to complete 22 units, comprising of seven core units and 15 specialist units in your choice of major.
The Bachelor of Engineering Technology prepares you to pursue a variety of challenging career options across a range of industries and government sectors.
Depending on your chosen major you will be prepared to pursue employment opportunities in national and international public and private industry sectors including: energy; transportation; manufacturing; process; construction; mining; education.

Students must have successful completion of the equivalent of an Australian Year 12.
Other English language requirements: Minimum academic IELTS score of 6.0 across all bands and overall; TOEFL Internet-based - Overall score of 75 with no score less than 17; PTE Academic - Overall score of 54 with no score less than 46; CAE, CPE - Overall test score of 169 (with no individual band score of less than 154).
