What will I learn?
Griffith University has one of Australia's largest and most highly recognized aviation teaching programs. Over the past 20 years teaching in this field, we have built an international reputation for graduates who are industry ready. Our aviation staff has strong industry ties and is world leaders in aviation research. The Bachelor of Aviation is a two-year, accelerated degree allowing students to progress more quickly into a flying career.
You will be introduced to the sciences underpinning the theory and practice of aviation. You will also study courses in areas such as, navigation, planning, and the human factors in aviation. Through the Bachelor of Aviation, you will develop with the skills needed for lifelong learning in the evolving aviation environment. The Bachelor of Aviation together with self-funded flight training will allow graduates to be ready to work in the aviation industry as a commercial pilot.

The Bachelor of Aviation will prepare you for employment in the aviation industry and, together with self-funded flight training, for work as a commercial pilot.
Our graduates have been successful in gaining a range of flying and management positions with organizations such as Cathay Pacific, Emirates, Etihad, Jet star, Qantas and Regional Express, as well as Air services Australia and the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA). We also have a direct entry agreement with the Royal Australian Air Force.
You will also be able to apply the skills acquired in your degree to many areas of the aviation industry such as management, research and human resource management. You will find employment opportunities in charter work, regional airlines, flight instruction (theory and practical), aerial services (agricultural spraying, aerial surveying and photography), management, research and human resource management, and in government organizations such as CASA and the Australian Defense Force (in first officer positions).

The Bachelor of Aviation provides a pathway to the following programs:
Graduate Diploma of Flight Management (4140) for Domestic students only
Master of Aviation Management (5647) and other relevant postgraduate programs.

English Language Requirements accepted: A minimum overall band score of 6.5 on IELTS (Academic) with no sub-score of less than 6.0; an internet-based (iBT) TOEFL score of 79 (no sub-score less than 19); a minimum score of 575 on TOEFL; or no score less than 3+ in each skill of the ISLPR (conducted by ISLPR Language Services only);or Cambridge Certificate in Advanced English (CAE): Minimum grade of C on the or a Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE): Minimum grade of C on the or Pearson Test of English (Academic): Overall score of 58 with no score less than 50.
Applicants must hold completion of Year 12 of secondary school or equivalent academic achievement.
The minimum English language requirements for such applicants for entry to this program are as follows:

or a minimum score of 575 on TOEFL
