Courses Overview

What will I learn?
The Master of Management has been designed to meet the needs of undergraduates who currently, or wish to, work in a wide range of professions and who are seeking to develop their management competencies. You undertake 10 core units and two electives - electives offer the opportunity for you to undertake studies in logistics, a research project, study tour or corporate internship.
This 1.5 year on-campus course is offered by the Tasmanian School of Business and Economics with the majority of units involving flexible delivery, with web-based teaching and learning, lectures and tutorials, combined with intensive face-to-face workshops or seminars as appropriate. The course is full fee paying. Fees cover tuition, all study materials (with the exception of text books) and costs associated with the study.

The Master of Management will provide you with an in-depth understanding of and set of skills for managing across a variety of professional contexts.
Career outcomes
Graduate studies have an important place in management development. They offer individuals aspiring to general management or senior functional management roles, the opportunity to develop competencies relevant as a manager in the area of chosen interest. Emphasis will be placed on the determination and assessment of 'best practice' approaches to business management, informed by the application of appropriate and sound theoretical foundations drawn from a variety of interdisciplinary sources.

Entry Requirement From Vietnam

PhDs normally require the equivalent to an Australian bachelor is degree with upper second class Honours or higher. English language requirements: IELTS of 6.5 with no band less than 6.0; TOEFL (Internet-based Test of English as a Foreign Language) - 92 (26 in writing and speaking, and 20 for reading and listening); PTE Academic 58 (58 for writing and speaking with no other score lower than 50); UTAS Access Level 7 English Language Training - 65 (65 for writing and 65 for speaking and no other test score less than 60); CAE (Cambridge Advanced English) - B (Equivalent to the Council of Europe level (CEFR) of C1 or above).

Entry Requirement For International Student

For admission to this course, you need to have: completed a related undergraduate degree of an Australian higher education institution or the equivalent standard in any other institution, or have completed the Graduate Certificate of Management or Graduate Diploma of Business Administration of the University of Tasmania or an equivalent award of another Australian higher education institution.
Students must satisfy anyone of the following English language requirements: TOEFL (PBT) 600 TWE 4.5; PTE Academic 58 with no score lower than 50; UTASAccess-English Level 7 - 65% (no individual score less than 60%).
