English language requirements
There is a minimum level of English language skills that are required to study at TAFE Queensland for international students who do not speak English as their first language, which are as follows:
Certificate III, Certificate IV, Diploma and Advanced Diploma
International English Language Testing System (IELTS) Academic: Overall 5.5 (with no score lower than 5.0)
International English Language Testing System (IELTS) Academic: Overall 6.5 (with no score lower than 6.0)
Many programmes and some passport nationalities may require higher IELTS (Academic) than the minimum of IELTS 5.5 and/or include specific sub-score requirements.
Applicants are required to meet at least one of the English language entry requirements listed in the equivalencies table.

Statement of purpose
Students must prepare their certified supporting documents.
Students must submit their application and supporting documents through the online application portal, or if they are from any of these countries. they must submit their application through one of TAFE Queensland is registered agents.
Once students receive their letter of offer, they must accept and pay for their offer. They must note the expiry date for acceptance.
Students must receive their Confirmation of Enrolment (eCoE - required for visa lodgement).
They must then apply for their visa. International student visa applicants under the age of 18 will only be accepted where they demonstrate that they will be accompanied by a parent, legal custodian or a suitable relative who is aged 21 or over.
TAFE Queensland is one of Australia's largest education providers, offering over 180 courses in 15 areas of study - ranging from hospitality to healthcare. Courses are practical, coincide with current industry practice, and are taught by experienced teachers who have had experience in their field of work. The institution teaches over 120,000 students domestically and internationally each year, their international students come from more than 90 different countries around the world.

The teaching style at TAFE Queensland may be different to what students are familiar with. Interaction between students, their peers, and teaching staff is encouraged and the relationship between student and teacher may be more informal than they are used to. For example, it's acceptable and even encouraged for students to raise their hand and interrupt their teacher to ask a question. Students may also be asked to do group work or give a presentation in class.

Aviation Australia is Diploma of Aircraft Maintenance Engineering training is approved and recognised by both the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and the Australian Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) for the purposes of aircraft maintenance engineer licensing.
