English Language Requirements
Griffith University accepts the following English tests for standard entry into undergraduate, postgraduate and research programs.
IELTS: minimum score of 6.5, with no subscore less than 6.0
TOEFL: a minimum score of 575
Internet-based (IBT) TOEFL: a score of 79 (no sub-score less than 19)
Pearson Test of English (Academic): an overall score of 58 with no score less than 50
ISLPR: no score less than 3+ in each skill of the ISLPR
Some degrees may require higher levels of English or only accept specific English language tests.
Undergraduate Academic Entry Requirements
Standard academic entry to the University is undergraduate degrees require completion of secondary school comparable to Australian Year 12 or equivalent academic achievement.
Postgraduate Academic Entry Requirements
For standard entry into most Master is degrees, students must hold a bachelor degree or higher (or equivalent) from a recognised university. They must meet minimum Grade Point Average entry requirements. Griffith also recognises the knowledge gained through work experience, as well as prior study, for some degrees.

Griffith offers a wide range of work-integrated learning programs from information technology, engineering and dentistry to journalism, public relations and creative arts. Griffith Remarkable Scholarship
This Scholarship is offered to outstanding students applying for undergraduate and postgraduate coursework studies at Griffith University. It covers 50% of tuition fees for the duration of the undergraduate or postgraduate coursework degree program.
Griffith International Distinction Scholarships
These scholarships are provided to international students who are completing an undergraduate degree at Griffith University with a cumulative GPA of 6.0 or higher and wish to complete an honours or postgraduate coursework degree at Griffith University.
The award value is AUD 6,000 in total (two tuition payments of AUD 3,000) or a total of AUD 3,000 (one payment) for a Graduate Certificate.
International Student Excellence Scholarship - High School Leavers
Each intake, Griffith International will award scholarships to the students with the highest academic entry scores commencing in an eligible degree program. The scholarship covers 25% of tuition fees that will be deducted from undergraduate tuition fees for the duration of the program.
International Student Excellence Scholarship - Postgraduate Coursework
Students with the highest academic entry scores commencing eligible postgraduate coursework programs will receive a scholarship covers 25% of tuition fees that will be deducted from postgraduate coursework tuition fees for the duration of the program.
