International Merit Scholarships

Recipients will receive a 25% reduction in their student contributions (tuition fees) for their first year of study into their chosen program, up to a maximum of two semesters or eight courses.

The International Merit Scholarship will be awarded to selected international students who meet the following criteria.  Be a prospective international student  Be eligible to study in Australia  Not have accepted any other UniSA scholarship or bursary  Have achieved the UniSA equivalent of a credit average in previous studies  Meet normal program admission requirements for the program applied into  Apply for, and accepted into, an eligible undergraduate (Bachelor's Degree) or postgraduate (Masters by coursework) program offered at UniSA Scholarship conditions  International Merit Scholarship recipients will be required to be enrolled on a full-time basis at UniSA is South Australian campuses  Scholarship payments (25% of tuition fees) will be provided as a discount on successful applicants i student contribution invoice (tuition fee) at the commencement of each applicable study period in the first year of study  The scholarship applies to the first year of study only, up to a maximum of two semesters or eight courses  The scholarship cannot be deferred International Merit Scholarships are NOT available to:  Australian citizens or permanent residents of Australia  Sponsored students (foreign government or Australian government)  Students studying in Diplomas, Graduate Diplomas, Graduate Certificates, Associate Degrees and Research Degrees

International Research Tuition Scholarship (IRTS)

The IRTS will cover the international tuition fee for 3 years (plus a possibility of a 6 month extension) for a PhD student and the international tuition fee for 2 years for a research master's student.

In addition to meeting UniSA is eligibility criteria, applicants must be: Commencing international research degree students (2016 onwards) High quality with demonstrated research capability Be supported by a strong supervisory panel (with end-user adviser on the supervisory panel, where appropriate), and be enrolled in a research-rich environment In receipt of (or been awarded) a fully externally funded stipend scholarship, or in receipt of a living stipend supported by external funding. Note: the living stipend needs to be in the form of an externally funded scholarship administered through the University or agreement with a sponsorship body or organization.

Research Training Program international (RTPi) Scholarships

At least AUD $27,082 per annum (2018 stipend rate) for 3 years, with the possibility of one six-month extension (2017 stipend rate)

Main criteria Generally an applicant must have first-class Honours or equivalent to gain a scholarship at the University of South Australia. An awardee must be enrolled on a full-time basis as a candidate for a Masters by Research or PhD at the University of South Australia. An awardee shall be enrolled as an internal candidate at the University of South Australia. Awards will not be made to persons who are in receipt of an equivalent major award or scholarship or salary from any other source, other than approved supplementary scholarships of lesser value have completed a PhD degree or equivalent have completed a Masters degree or equivalent unless commencing a PhD seek to undertake paid employment on a full-time or substantial part-time basis.

UniSA and Rising Sun Pictures Scholarship

AUD $11,025 (2017)

University of South Australia (UniSA) and world renowned visual effects studio Rising Sun Pictures (RSP), category sponsors of The Rookies, offer a full scholarship in either the Graduate Certificate in Compositing and Tracking or the Graduate Certificate in Dynamic Effects and Lighting for the winner of their sponsored category.  UniSA and RSP have partnered since 2015 to offer unprecedented postgraduate programs in visual effects. RSP, an Adelaide-based studio formed in 1995, has created thousands of visual effects for over 100 motion pictures including: Gravity, X-Men: Days of Future Past, The Great Gatsby and the Harry Potter series. The joint programs, undertaken at RSP's studios, provide UniSA students with hands-on training in critical skills required to work in the visual effects industry with supervision from experienced visual effects artists. The Rookies is an international competition for young designers, creators, innovators and artists, created to showcase emerging talent from students enrolled in higher education

University President's Scholarships (UPS)

Tuition fees plus a living allowance of at least AUD $27,082 per annum (2018 stipend rate).

You must have a University of South Australia supervisor willing to nominate you for consideration and outstanding academic records, and be a citizen of an overseas country eligible for entry to Australia for the time required to complete the research degree. UPS are nearly always given to doctorate by research candidates but can be given to masters by research candidates in some cases. These scholarships can only be taken at this university. Vice Chancellor's International Excellence Scholarship

Scholarship recipients will receive a 50% reduction in their student contributions (tuition fees) per annum, for up to four years of full-time study.

UniSA will offer up to 20 Vice Chancellor's International Excellence Scholarships in 2017 to future international students who have achieved an 85% average (or equivalent) in previous studies and have applied to study a UniSA undergraduate or postgraduate (by coursework) degree. Successful applicants will become a UniSA International Student Ambassador and will be required to maintain a credit average (or equivalent) for each consecutive year of study to be eligible for the 50% student contribution (tuition fee) reduction. The scholarships will be awarded to selected international students who meet the following criteria: Be a prospective international student Be eligible to study in Australia with a student visa Not have accepted any other UniSA scholarship or bursary Have achieved an 85% average (or equivalent) in previous studies Meet the minimum English language entry requirements for the chosen program applied into Meet normal program admission requirements for the chosen program applied into. Scholarship recipients will be required to be enrolled on a full-time basis at UniSA's South Australian campuses, and maintain a Grade Point Average of at least 5.0 in order to receive the scholarship payments. Scholarship payments (50% of tuition fees) will be provided as a discount on successful applicants' student contribution invoice at the commencement of the relevant study period each year. The scholarship cannot be deferred.
